About Tom

A scenic view of mountains under a clear blue sky with a serene lake reflecting the landscape.

I currently live with my wife in Daly City where we raised our three sons. I attended public schools in Daly City, graduating from Serramonte High School, followed by receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of San Francisco in 1975. Continuing on to the University of California-Hastings College of the Law, I received a Juris Doctorate in 1978 and was admitted to the State Bar later that same year. In 1979 I established law offices in Daly City, where I presently continue a general civil practice of the law.

In 1985  J. S. Partners was formed which was a partnership with myself and three others who also had businesses in Daly City and began planning to build an office building on the Junipero Serra corridor. We acquired the land south of the BART Station and built the first high rise office building in Daly City at 2171 Junipero Serra Blvd (the J.S. Office Building)  which opened in September of 1989 consisting of seven stories and approximately 52,000 square feet and which can still be seen today  as one travels up or down Highway 280.

I believe that we all want to live in a city that can deliver a safe, clean environment as well as services that enrich our life experiences.  Good schools, medical facilities, libraries, and recreational options for kids, seniors and everyone in between are high on the list of priorities.

Additionally, emphasis on economic development and the growth of businesses and shopping venues that offer variety and are convenient, are all things that make up a place where we all would like to live.

I recognize that our young people are our future and for that reason I have enjoyed working in the past with the youth of our community as a public recreation leader(with DCRD), basketball referee, Boy Scout Leader, Parish Youth Group and Summer Camp Counselor and Coach of Parish Boys High School Basketball Teams.

Public service and working collaboratively with others for the Community has always been a large part of my life.  I hope to continue in the future and pledge to work hard for all if elected to the City Council.
